1. Motorola P40 specifications leak, reveals punch hole camera design and Snapdragon 675 chipset - Motorola P40 and P40 Note are expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress 2019 as the successors to Motorola P30 and P30 Note. The Moto P30 series was launched in China last year and are Motorola’s version of smartphones with notched display, vertically stacked dual camera system and large battery. While we have seen renders of Motorola P40 Note leak recently, the details of Motorola P40 has also come to light. The Motorola P40 and P40 Note are expected to feature the punch hole camera design that has been adopted by Samsung, Huawei, and Honor.


2. Amazon EMI Fest Cashback on Realme 1, Apple iPhone X, Xiaomi Redmi Y2, Huawei P20 Lite - Amazon India is hosting EMI Fest on its platform from January 3 to January 7 where the e-commerce giant is offering smartphones with up to 8GB RAM. During the EMI fest, Amazon India is offering 5 percent cashback up to Rs 1,500 on SBI Credit Card EMI. The cashback is applicable only for minimum order of Rs 12,500, and cashback will be credited by April 7.
In order to avail, customers need to tap on bank offer option, and select the EMI plan that suits their needs and make payment. One of the fineprints of this EMI fest is that all the devices are available at attractive EMI options compared to standard sale period. Here is a look at the top deals available on smartphones during the EMI Fest.

Samsung Galaxy M30 specifications leaked; triple camera, Infinity-U display and more tipped - When the anticipated Galaxy M30 appeared on Geekbench a few days back, we only got to see key specifications of the upcoming smartphone from Samsung. Now thanks to a new leak by a German publication, all other specifications of alleged Samsung Galaxy M30 have surfaced online.
Reports have suggested that Samsung is gearing up to launch its new Galaxy M series with three anticipated smartphones – Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and the Galaxy M30 – in January 2019. Out of three models, the Galaxy M30 is expected to be a slightly premium model in the upcoming Galaxy M lineup.


4. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro receiving camera bug fix via new MIUI 10 update - Xiaomi has started rolling out another MIUI 10 update to fix certain bugs on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The latest MIUI version brings several improvements along with a fix for a major issue with the camera application. As per update changelog, it will fix accidental camera burst capture issue on the Redmi Note 5 Pro’s camera app.
The latest MIUI version 10.2.1 also brings improvements and fix for a couple of issues with the file explorer in Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. The update is said to be rolling out in batches, and it’ll take a while to reach everyone, TheAndroidSoul reports. If you haven’t received the notification for the software update then you can manually check for the update by heading to Settings Software Update.


5. Huawei P20 Pro, Nova 3 to soon get Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update in India - Back in October last year, Huawei announced Android Pie-based EMUI 9.0 update in India. The latest UI runs on the flagship Mate 20 Pro smartphone out-of-the-box, and now it seems ready to arrive on other devices too. Huawei India teased that EMUI 9.0 will soon start rolling out on the P20 Pro and Nova 3 smartphones.
